Objectives of Electrosuisse

Electrosuisse:

• support its members with information, training and further education, standardisation and safeguarding the interests of the electrical engineering industry and profession in public.
• offer knowledge transfer and interdisciplinary contacts with experts and personalities from education, industry and politics.
• provide high quality services and industry information, training and further education, and exchange of experience at national and international level. In particular, it organises courses and produces training aids to support and maintain the quality of vocational training and education in electrical engineering.
• support electrical engineering companies with a broad spectrum of services concerned with safety and reliability in handling electrical energy.
• analyse the consequences of the application of electrical engineering and to promote mutual understanding between engineering, industry, research, society and government.
• promote occupational and industrial interests of experts in the IT, power generation and electrical engineering industries through cooperation with professional associations and other interested organisations.
• be active in all areas of standardisation and testing in the field of electrical engineering and to represent Swiss interests at international level in this respect. The Association conforms to national and international differentiation agreements stipulated by various bodies.
