European marks




The following certification procedures with marks, based on tests according to EN, generally form the basis for proof.



CCA-NRT with SEV mark of conformity

European certification according to CCA procedures (CENELEC Certification Agreement) with NTR (Notification of Test Results)
Confirmation of conformity with safety and EMC standard

Procedure with type examination and production monitoring

Normally valid for three years. Production only within member states.

KEYMARK
 

Certification according to KEYMARK procedures (SEV with Code E13)
For household appliances and industrial equipment

Confirmation of conformity with safety standards, EMC optional

Procedure with type examination and production monitoring

Normally valid for three years. Production worldwide..

  

ENEC mark of conformity
 

Certification according to ENEC procedures (SEV with Code 13)
For lamps, lighting, lighting components, transformers, computer equipment, switches.

Confirmation of conformity with safety standards, EMC optional

Procedure with type examination and production monitoring

Partly only possible for European applicants or licence holders, manufacturing plants outside Europe

Normally valid for three years. Production worldwide.

For power and data cables

Confirmation of conformity with safety standards, EMC optional

Procedure with type examination and production monitoring

Mandatory for manufacturing plants within Europe

Can be issued by Electrosuisse only to Swiss cable manufacturers

For products that fall under the scope of an EMC standard (EN)

Confirmation of conformity with safety standards, EMC optional

Procedure with type examination and production monitoring

Normally valid for three years.

  

 

CE-Mark
 

CE
Obligatory mark for the distribution and free movement of goods within the EU/EEA for products that fall under the scope of one or more EU directives. Certification of conformity with these directives to be provided by the person distributing the goods (manufacturer, authorised agent with registered office in the EU/EEA) or a notified body. Proof that the basic requirements relating to the product and production of the product have been satisfied in accordance with all applicable directives. Proof to be provided with an EU certificate of conformity and associated technical documentation (technical file) with test reports for the product and production sequences. The aforementioned certification procedures with mark, based on tests carried out according to EN, generally for the basis for proof.
