Electrosuisse was founded in 1889 as Swiss Electrotechnical Assiciation (SEV) in the form of a registered society in accordance with Article 60 et seq. of the Swiss Civil Code. Around 4450 professionals and 1850 companies and institutions are members of the association. Electrosuisse employs 210 people at its head offices in Fehraltdorf and at its location in Lausanne. The association is certified to ISO 9001:2000 and 14001:2004.
